Description The herbarium of Frederic Trèmols (1831-1900) has been on permanent loan from the Barcelona Royal Academy of Science and Arts since1925 and includes around 9,000 specimens. Trèmols was member and co-founder of the Botanical Institute of Barcelona (1872-78). His herbarium has few sheets but contains numerous plants collected by Gautier and Rouy in the Iberian Peninsula and in the Pyrenees. This collection is currently being digitalized and studied by Laura Gavioli, work that has enabled her to undertake a master's degree in biodiversity at the University of Barcelona.
