Name | Collection of marble slabs |
Description | The collection of marble slabs conserved in the Museum contains 262 samples, almost all polished. The word 'marble' is used as a synonym of the Latin usage of the term 'marble' to refer to an ornamental stone. The pieces have been obtained in three ways: from the Museum of the Barcelona Royal Academy of Science and the Arts, the 1888 Universal Exhibition and from various donations. |
