Description |
The bryophyte collection of the BC herbarium is catalogue in alphabetical order (without any distinctions between liverworts and mosses) and contains over 7,000 specimens acquired mainly via exchanges between the BC herbarium and other European herbariums. Of great interest are the number of specimens of the genus Sphagnum (around 300), as well as of the genera Tortula and Hypnum. The material is conserved dry and in envelopes or micro-sheets, which are attached to cards and separated by species and country. |
