| Description | In 1987, this deposit provided the most complete specimens of Holothuria in the fossil record. This find was extraordinary because, when they die, marine invertebrates normally break up into minute plates that are then dispersed throughout the marine sediments. The new species identified on the basis of these fossils by the Geological Museum's staff are an important contribution to the science of Palaeontology. |
