| Description | The Barcelona Natural History Museum’s Historical Archive contains the documents generated by the Barcelona Natural Science Board (1906-1941) and from 1882 onwards by the predecessors to the current Museum: Museu Martorell, Natural History Museum of Catalonia, Barcelona Zoological Museum and Barcelona Geological Museum.
It consists of administrative and legal documents, the minutes of meetings, scientific correspondence, etc. in a total of 1,947 folders, which can be consulted on-line via the Documentation Centre’s website. It represents a valuable source of information for documenting the development of the Museum’s collections (origin, type, content) and the history of natural sciences in Catalonia. |
