| Description | The Museum organizes many activities designed to further understanding of the natural world and encourage participants to reflect on that world through the specimens housed at the Museum.
The objectives of these activities are to: * Bring science closer to the people. * Foster ethical values, such as appreciation and respect for the natural environment and sustainable development. * Promote the use of the scientific method in the analysis of the facts of nature. * Facilitate understanding of nature through observation and hand-on activities, etc. * Awaken the spirit of observation, curiosity, and imagination. * Facilitate understanding of some of the scientific concepts that appear in the media. * Introduce Catalonia's natural heritage and assist in disseminating the results of research and studies carried out by the scientific community. To achieve these objectives, the Museum organizes a wide variety of activities, including workshops, guided tours for students, weekend activities for families, guided tours of the exhibits, courses, conferences, seminars, etc. The Activities Program is part of the Department of Cultural Productions, along with the Exhibitions Program and the Marketing & Public Relations Program. |
