Naturalist journeys and expeditions in which the Museu de Ciències Naturals de Barcelona has taken part

Field prospecting trips are the engine to create the knowledge guarded by natural history museums. The departures can be casual, with very specific space/time purposes or form part of larger scientific companies due to their geographical destination or because they are part of outstanding scientific projects. Outings, trips, expeditions, in all cases the coexistence of different people who pursue ambitious study objectives can manifest itself in many different ways. The resulting stories bring together personal experiences and the reality of the scientific results obtained, thanks to notes on the human and material complexity that accompanies the field study, in the formats that seem most appropriate.
